Where Ladder Safety Begins
Quality Control for Step by Step

Every ladders are tested, inspected and verified before it reaches your home.

It begins with how we check, measure and verify every unit during production. Each ladder is inspected for stability, structural and material consistency, ensuring you receive a product that performs reliably for years.

Why QC Matters for Malaysian Homes

Ladders in Malaysia are used for a wide range of daily tasks — installing lights, servicing air-conditioning units, cleaning fans, accessing high storage and decorating for festive seasons. Without proper quality control, these tasks become risky due to wobbling frames, weak steps or inconsistent material strength.

Step by Step’s quality control and proper safety habits help minimize accidents and injuries.
When a ladder is built correctly and users follow basic safety steps, the chance of slipping, falling, or getting hurt becomes much lower. It keeps both the user and the people around them safe.

Reliable QC gives homeowners peace of mind, knowing that every climb — whether for a simple chore or a major household task — is supported by a ladder built to maintain safety, strength and stability throughout its lifespan.

How We Perform Our Quality Checks

Every Step by Step ladder goes through a strict, multi-stage quality control process to ensure safety, stability and long-term reliability for both home and work environments. From material selection to final packing, each stage is carefully checked so you receive a safety ladder you can trust— whether for household tasks or daily work use.

Material Selection

High-quality aluminium is the foundation of ladder safety. Each ladder is made using AA6061-T6 or AA6063-T5 EPD-verified aluminium, selected for its strength, durability and consistent performance. Every material batch is inspected to meet strict standards, ensuring reliable use in homes, workplaces and industrial environments.

Fabrication and Assembly

Controlled fabrication ensures long-term stability. Each ladder is assembled using step-by-step methods to secure rivets, joints, laser welds and frame connections. Alignment, joint strength and structural balance are carefully checked during assembly to ensure the ladder remains stable and safe during repeated use at home or at work.

Strength Load Test

Load testing confirms real-world performance. Each ladder is tested according to a defined load and timeline to ensure it can safely support the required weight. The ladder body, steps and joints are inspected after testing, and only ladders with no bending, cracks or permanent damage are approved for dispatch.

10,000 Steps
Durability Test

Long-term use is simulated through a 10,000-step durability test, designed to reflect repeated climbing in real-life conditions. This test helps ensure that each step and joint remains secure under continuous pressure. By identifying stress and wear points early, the ladder is built to stay firm, stable and dependable for long-term use at home and on the job.

Packing

Before packing, every ladder undergoes a final inspection to identify surface defects, sharp edges or handling damage, and is labelled with clear ladder safety information. Once approved, it is securely packed and sealed to ensure safe transportation to homes and workplaces in ready-to-use condition.

*Quality Check may differ for each model, but all Step by Step ladders undergo the necessary inspections to meet our safety and performance standards.
